Mechanical Engineering Admission Process

What Is Mechanical Engineering In B. Tech?

Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering and it is all about physical machinery, motion, and force. It is one of the essential branches of engineering and considers the operations, conception, and practical-based studies. Mechanical Engineering offers the fundamentals namely production, design, and analysis of the machinery and its parts or components.

This course is available in B. Tech/B.E. with 4 years of the program that delivers machinery studies, heavy tools, and practical Mac. Mechanical Engineering serves various sectors or fields namely the automobile industry, aircraft, electric motors, air conditions, medical accessories, electric power plants, computers, and other things.

Apart from that, the Indian government is encouraging the mechanical sectors under the 'Make in India' program and I am directly connecting to emerging technologies such as robotics, thermal engineering, nanotechnology, and mechatronics.

What are Basic Syllabus Of Mechanical Engineering Studies?

Mechanical Engineering is a comprehensive field also it is the board terms and it considers the maintenance, design, analysis, and manufacturing under the mechanical structure. Basic Mechanical Engineering Studies have been based on mathematics, principles, formulas, science, and other various aspects of mechanical engineering. Here is a brief overview of the mechanical engineering Syllabus.

Mathematics and Basic Sciences:

  • The course must be related to calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics.

Core Mechanical Engineering Courses:

  • Under the core, student needs to study the status and dynamics of forces & motion, the strength of the material, fluid, heat transfer, material science, control systems, computational methods, and others.

Specialized Mechanical Engineering Courses:

  • Specialization in kinematics, vibrations, robotics, automation, aerospace, energy systems, or other similar topics.

Laboratory and Practical Work:

  • Aware of the various types of labs such as material testing, CAD/CAM, manufacturing, and fluid mechanism.

Project Work and Internships:

  • Under the B-tech program, students can do minor or major projects and internship programs.

What Is the Admission Procedure For Mechanical Engineering?

  • To get admission to Mechanical Engineering, a candidate can apply for the undergraduate program in B-tech but, eligibility criteria must be matched.
  • Check out the Admission Procedure for Mechanical Engineering.
  • Candidate must complete their 12th exam with a minimum of 50 percent and the subject must be physics, chemistry, and mathematics. (Reserved category will get the relaxation 5%)
  • The candidate's age must be considered a minimum of 17 years.
  • Students must appear in state-level or all India-level exams such as JEE-Mains and advanced.
  • After appearing in the India-level exam, the student must join the counseling session where he/she can select their desired college as well as stream, and also, and it will depend on the merit list.
  • If the seat, college, and branch have been allowed then, fill out the application form.
  • Upload and verify the documents and pay the tuition fees or other charges.

What are the Entrance Exams to Get Admission In Govt And Top Engineering Colleges?
